ciarraí art nexus invites the community to gather and experience local history in a new light. We create a special St Brigid’s Day art event in Cahersiveen, bringing contemporary art into dialogue with place, light, and tradition.
Local glass artists Róisín Ní Chionnfhaolaidh and international conceptual film and installations artist Eileen Haring Woods have been commissioned to create transformative projections and installations, developed specifically for this occasion and for distinctive, iconic locations throughout the town.
The event invites audiences to experience Cahersiveen in a new way — through moments of illumination, reflection, and shared encounter — celebrating St Brigid’s Day as a time of creativity, renewal, and connection.

Launch event

This launch event offers an introduction to ciarraí art nexus and to the artist’s projects developed for St Brigid’s Day in Cahersiveen.
The evening will present our vision and approach, alongside insights into the individual works by Róisín Ní Chionnfhaolaidh and Eileen Haring Woods.
Audiences are invited to learn more about the ideas, processes, and site-responsive intentions behind both projects ahead of their public presentation.

Róisín Ní Chionnfhaolaidh
Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry
Róisín is an Irish visual artist based in South Kerry, working primarily with glass across casting, stained glass, and site-specific installations in public and landscape settings. Informed by the coastal environment of the west of Ireland, her practice explores the relationship between light, material, and place through both traditional glass techniques and contemporary installation approaches.

Eileen Haring Woods
Suffolk, Great Britain
Eileen is a visual artist working with moving image, projection, and installation, whose practice explores perception, time, and the relationship between image and space. Her work is often site-responsive, engaging sensitively with architectural and environmental contexts. She has exhibited internationally, creating immersive visual experiences that invite close attention and quiet reflection.
