About Cahersiveen

Cahersiveen is a picturesque small town in County Kerry on the southwest coast of Ireland, nestled between the mountains of the Iveragh Peninsula and the harbour on the Atlantic Ocean. It has been known for centuries as the original Market Town and has retained its flair and authentic character. Landmarks such as the Daniel O'Connell Memorial Church and the historic Old Barracks Heritage Centre are testament to the rich history and culture of this unique community.
With a growing number of artisan stores, galleries, distilleries, cafés and restaurants, the town invites you to stroll and linger.

Cahersiveen is part of the South Kerry Greenway with a trail head carpark at Reenard (south west of Caherciveen) to Glenbeigh in the north east.
